Lesson 11 - Sunday

From Riches to Redemption

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” — 2 Corinthians 8:9

What does Jesus’ example teach us? He teaches us what true, selfless love looks like. Jesus had everything in heaven, yet He willingly gave it all for us. He did not come to earth because we deserved His sacrifice. He came because He loved us.

Think about the journey Jesus took for you. He left the glory of heaven and entered our broken world. He was born as a baby, lived among ordinary people, experienced rejection and suffering, and ultimately gave His life on the cross. The One who created us allowed Himself to be nailed to a cross so that we could have forgiveness and eternal life.

But the story did not end at the grave. Jesus rose again! His resurrection gives us the assurance that death does not have the final word. Because He lives, we can look beyond the struggles, disappointments, sickness, pain, and sorrow of this present life. We have the hope of a life where sin and death will be no more.

When we truly understand what Jesus has done for us, our response should be more than simply saying, “Thank You.” His sacrifice should change the way we live. We should become more willing to give, serve, forgive, love, and put others before ourselves. Jesus gave Himself completely for us; His example calls us to live with that same spirit of selfless love.

Today, take a moment to dwell on Jesus—His birth, His life, His death, and His resurrection. He did it all for you. Let that truth change your attitude, strengthen your faith, and give you hope when life becomes difficult.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the incredible gift of Jesus. Thank You that He left the riches of heaven, came to this broken world, lived for us, died for us, and rose again so that we can have the hope of eternal life. Help us never to take His sacrifice for granted.

When life becomes difficult, remind us that this world is not all there is. Help us keep our eyes on Jesus and the promise of the resurrection. Teach us to follow His example by loving others, serving willingly, forgiving freely, and giving generously.

May the love Jesus has shown us transform our hearts and our lives. Thank You for giving us hope beyond this present life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

They might never open a Bible. They might never attend church. They might never hear a sermon. His ministry was not an easy journey filled with comfort, recognition, and success. He experienced hardship, rejection, persecution, physical danger, disappointment, and exhaustion. Christ-focused Ministry of Reconciliation

  Sabbath School First and Second Corinthians  Authentic Christian Ministry Lesson 10 - Wednesday Called to Be Holy: Living as God’s Temple Read 2 Corinthians 6:11–7:1 Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 6:11–7:1 give us a powerful picture of what a holy life looks like. Holiness is not simply about avoiding certain behaviors or following a list of religious rules. It is about belonging completely to God and allowing that relationship to shape every part of our lives. Paul begins by reminding the Corinthians that his heart is open to them. He longs for them to respond to God with the same openness and devotion. Then he gives a strong warning: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 6:14, KJV).
