In chapter 9, he goes a step further—not merely teaching the principle but living it. Paul begins by defending his rights as an apostle. He reminds the Corinthians that he had every right to receive financial support for his ministry. He had faithfully preached the gospel, planted churches, and devoted his life to Christ. Like the other apostles, he could have expected believers to provide for his physical needs. These rights were not selfish demands; they were biblical privileges.
