Seventh-day Adventist Fundamental Belief 2: The Trinity

Seventh-day Adventist Fundamental Belief 2

The Trinity

There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three coeternal Persons.

God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present.

He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His

self-revelation.

God, who is love, is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation.

Deuteronomy 6:4 (ESV): "“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.""

1 Timothy 1:17 (ESV): "To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen."

Matthew 28:19 (ESV): "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

2 Corinthians 13:14 (ESV): "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

Ephesians 4:4–6 (ESV): "There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

1 Peter 1:2 (ESV): "according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood..."
