The visible cloud of God’s presence and the brilliance of His glory made it clear that the Lord Himself had chosen to dwell among His people. This was not just a structure of wood, gold, and fabric—it was the meeting place between heaven and earth. In many ways, the completion of the tabernacle echoed the finish of Creation itself. Just as God completed His work in Genesis 1 and rested on the seventh day, so here the people completed their work in obedience to God’s instructions, and He filled it with His presence.   Worshiping the Creator, Not the Creation Scripture Reading: Romans 1:25 – “They exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” God has filled the world with beauty—the mountains, oceans, forests, skies, and even the smallest flower declare His glory ( Psalm 19:1 ). We are called to care for the earth as good stewards ( Genesis 2:15 ). Yet there is a danger: what God gave us to manage and enjoy can become something we idolize. The Apostle Paul warned about this when he said people “worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator.” Today, let’s explore how we can faithfully care for the earth without crossing the line into worshiping it.   "Justice, Mercy, and Worship: God’s Design for His People" When we read Exodus 22:16–23:19, we may be tempted to see these chapters as a long list of regulations that no longer apply to us. But every law God gave to Israel carried His divine wisdom. They were not merely rules but expressions of His character—His justice, His mercy, and His holiness. In His mercy, God gave these laws to correct the sinful tendencies of the human heart and to restrain the natural inclinations of people. These instructions protected society, eliminated evil, and cultivated good relationships between neighbors. Justice and love were to rule every action.   John 1:1–3 and 14 are foundational verses in the Bible that speak to the identity and role of Jesus Christ in creation and His incarnation. John 1:1–3 (ESV):  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made." These verses declare that Jesus, referred to here as "the Word" (Greek: Logos), was with God from the beginning and that He is, in fact, God. Jesus is portrayed as eternal, existing before creation, and the agent through whom everything was made. Nothing in creation exists apart from Him.  John 1:14 (ESV):  "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." The myth of the creation story. No, it's not what you think. There is a myth that is told over and over. It sounds good, so people keep repeating it. Problem is, when you actually read The Bible, it falls apart. You are waiting for the myth...but wait. Does it matter? Yes. If you give a sermon, and parts are not true, it most assuredly matters. It means you yourself have not read The Bible. One should never take the pulpit or teach, without a full study of what The Bible actually says. So now, the myth. That God spoke everything into existence, but man is special. He formed him with His bare hands out of the ground. Yes, that is a myth. It's not there. It might come as a shock to many of you, but God did not speak things into existence and only form man. Go back and read the entire first chapter of The Bible. We dare you. Christians do not have to worry about global warming. Gen 8:22   “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” The world will burn...but we won't experience the heat. Watch out!   There is a new religion in town. Its name is SCIENCE. You are to bow down in authority to anything a group of scientists says. You must believe every word. If not, you will not be tolerated. You will suffer dire consequences. When one talks about climate change, one must be careful as to not be bowing down at the feet of science. Christians of all people need to watch how they treat modern day science and its self-proclaimed "truth." After all, science says The Bible is just fairy tales. Which side do you belong?
