Sabbath School First and Second Corinthians The Power of Christ's Reurrection Lesson 8 - Sunday The Resurrection We Believe and Proclaim The resurrection of Jesus Christ stands at the very heart of the Christian faith. In 1 Corinthians 15:1–4, Luke 24:44–47, and Romans 1:1–4, we find a common message: Jesus died, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures. His resurrection was not an unexpected accident. It was part of God’s plan and was foretold in His Word. Paul tells the Corinthians that he preached the gospel to them, and that they received it and stood firmly in it. He reminds them that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and was raised on the third day. Luke records Jesus explaining to His disciples that His suffering, death, and resurrection fulfilled what had been written about Him.
